Five Year Integrated MSc in Chemistry & Four Year Undergraduate Program in Chemistry
Department offers Five-year integrated MSc degree in Chemistry with rigorous training on fundamentals and practicals. The program is also embedded with FYUGP program in chemistry, which gives the freedom for the students to exit after three years (BSc degree), four years (BSc honors and BSc honors with research) and Five year (MSc). The syllabus is well tuned to so the students to enable National level exams, and employment in academics, research and industry. The students can also choose from a bunch of elective courses matching with their interests. The curriculum has an embedded open-ended lab course, mini project, skill enhancement course and internships so as to enhance their employability in research labs and industry. The final semester of the course is entirely dedicated MSc thesis dissertation wherein students are given opportunity to work in national level institutes or industry.
Eligibility
Pass with a minimum of 50% in Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Examinations, Government of Kerala OR Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education OR the Indian School Certificate Examination (ClassXII) conducted by Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, NewDelhi OR any other examination accepted as equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as subjects.

Pass in B.Sc. degree with Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Environmental Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry/Petrochemicals (main) with Mathematics as one of the subsidiary subjects with at least 50% marks in the main subject.

Eligibility
1. A 1-year/2-semester Master’s Degree programme after a 4-year/8-semester Bachelor’s Degree programme or a 2-year/4-semester Master’s Degree programme after
a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree programme or qualifications declared equivalent to the
Master’s Degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55%
marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system
is followed.

Admission: Department Admission Test (DAT) conducted twice every year (January and June). The candidates who have qualified fellowships for pursuing Ph.D. Programme by UGC/CSIR/AICTE /DBT/ ICAR
etc., Category-2 i.e. Appointment as Assistant Professor and
Admission to Ph.D. OR Category-3 i.e. Admission to Ph.D. only, are excempted from DAT, but requires to attend interview
