The department of Applied Chemistry, CUSAT, was established on 18th Novemebr 1976 with an aim of advancing industrial development within the Greater Cochin area by offering scientific expertise and skilled personnel to local industries as well as contributing to the establishment of new enterprises. Over the last 50 years the department has emerged as one of the leading centers offering quality education and training in chemistry.
